did not live up to expectations
I like the Babyliss name. I have bought other products and been very satisfied with them but not this time unfortunately. My husband does have very coarse hair (eyebrows, nasal and ears) but that is one reason I went for a proven brand at a reasonable price rather than a cheap import. In my opinion the trimmer is just not up to the job. I need to make several passes to get any results. We do have a comparable product by a different manufacturer at our holiday home and this works well so we can make comparisons. Over all - disappointing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

just read this review like it will help
Right. So I first looked at the reviews and they all were extremely different from one another; it's difficult to analyse if a response is trustworthy and which you should go with. I was worried if the extremely positive ones were fake due to their love for their item. Once purchasing the item - which came very quick - I was bewildered with amazement. Now, I presumed it would be, you know, your ' average ' hair remover, but in fact I found much more. Nose hair removal - I used the item to remove nose hairs and now my nostrils are completely bald. I have been rather arrogant with my nostrils, sending photos to my girlfriend, although I will not post one as thats a tad too much. - There was no tugging, no pain, and it was quick and easy to clean. all you do is remove the top applicator and run under a tap. Honestly like its just perfect like I would marry it. Ear hair removal - now I must admit, I have little to no ear hair... But obviously I tried it out and my ears are pengaleng. Moustache and eyebrow removal - Right. Here is my favourite part. My face is practically hairless. Despite this, I explored every top relentlessly. I shaved my whole face, around my eyebrows, the back of my neck, my fingers, my toes, my cheeks ( that have no hair but it was satisfying ), and everywhere. My lower back is now softer than the sands of Thailand, glistening under the gorgeous sun. Now, I suppose my review is perhaps a bit - OTT - but you don't want a poor review. My review is most definitely in depth. The outer casing of the instrument is plastic-like, but its whats on the inside that counts. A battery is thankfully included, so all you require is a scale 1 ( fairly hairy - bald ) to a scale 10 ( Moshi monster ) body. My face is perfect. I genuinely love myself. Perhaps I did a little before too. This is becoming a monologue so I will stop, but in general, I recommend this product to anyone. Don't buy something cheap and nasty, buy this instrument created by the God Zeus himself. Buy this product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does the job

HIGH QUALITY TRIMMER
I've previously had the "cheap" trimmers from bargain shops which work ok for a while then they pull at the hairs and are painful. In fact, I even bought a BETTER one from Ebay a few years ago with the make that begins with W and it was dreadful. Have only JUST got this Babyliss but am extremely surprised at the build quality. It screams quality as soon as you pick it up. Sadly, I had to use the scissors recently (which had to be done VERY carefully) on my nose hair so there isn't THAT much to trim at present, but this Babyliss certainly trims what is left behind after the cursory job with scissors. And, I feel it will manage the LONG hairs when it grows again. I doubt you'll regret this Babyliss trimmer. I highly recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight with great features.

Fell apart on first use
Unfortunately this item wasn’t great, on first use the blades in nose hair trimmer fell out. Not robustly made and for the money I thought it should be a little better than the cheaper alternatives available? But it wasn’t!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
