A Great Upgrade
This printer replaced an 8 year old Epson that failed. Print quality, particularly color photos and color 'decals' are terrific. And I can do 2-sided relatively easily. The remote printing of files via email through HP is a nice feature as is the automatic ink re-supply program based on usage. Only 2 negatives (and why not 5 stars). 1) the copy feature is slower than my old Epson...even in B&W. It hums and grinds quite a bit before spitting out the copy. Maybe there is a trick to make it faster, but I have not found it yet. And 2) there is no separate tray for 4x6 (or 3x5) photo paper as the Epson. It's a pain to pull out the paper and reset the feed!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It wasn't easy to setup the wireless connection. Once I figured it out, if I have to do it again. I know how. Instructions are poor. Also, the HP SMART shows nice print options, but there is no COPY icon. You have to go to the little printer screen and select copy and select color or black. Another thing that aggravates me is, if I print a letter, and then want to print the envelope that goes with it, I have to unload the paper tray, and place envelopes in the tray. Then I found out I have to reset the margins. This printer just isn't worth the trouble. Sorry HP.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works very well. Once it pulled two pieces of paper, that is it regarding the print quality. Does a very good job printing. I am not too happy with the speed that it has gone through ink. I have not used my old printer in a while, so that perception might be me. Slightly noisy when printing normally, but fine on quiet mode. Good printer...SW not so good
Installation was easy. Print scan works great. Using wireless as printer is in a nother room, not close to the PC. So far printed and scanned a few pages with no problem. Works pretty quick and God quality. I took off a star for the SW for double sided scan using the Automatic document feeder (ADF). I returned the previoi printer for not supporting this feature and bought this one. Turns out mobile app doesn't support this feature. Searching the web seems like folks have been complaining about it for years. I called the tech support and they confirmed that only PC double sided scan is supposed (was a bit of a pain installing a specialist version on my desktop which ia running Windows 7). Talked to supervisor who said he is happy to hear of that enhancement request and will follow thru. Hope he will succeed 🙏Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great printer, short life.
This printer is very good for the price. Copies, scans and prints duplex. Auto feed works great. Life of this printer not so great. We replaced the same model which was four years old and started to have poor print quality. Cheaper to buy a new one than repair/replace the print head on the old one. Enough features and good print quality
When the box was first delivered I feared the worst as it had obviously been dropped/kicked/thrown or whatever UPS does with their packages. To my surprise the printer was intact even though packing materials were broken on the inside. I like the feature of two-sided document feed, and print quality good enough to produce coupons that will scan on store checkouts. Please don't buy this printer. Brand new and it does not work.
The printer windows instructs you install the cartridges that came with the bran-new product. You do install them and nothing happens. After that you can not get the window to change no matter what you do. HP support is a joke and it takes an act of congress to find out how to e-mail them. The are interested in trying to hook you up to their monthly ink subscription and if you don't sign up the printer will not work. I hate this product. The features are fine. The color printing does not last more than a year.
This printer did not have a CD included, so I had to follow online instructions that did not connect it to my PC. I hired a technician, and he had quite a time of it, and gave up, telling me I had a lemon. I continued to follow the instructions, on line, and the instructions have a glaring error, the instructions assume that the PC never had a printer connected, and did not address what to do in order to remove the old printer from the hard drive, and replace with a new printer....four days of "hunt and peck" before success. It is only a good value, because this printer is apparently not being manufactured any more, so, this printer cost $67.00 more than it normally would have been "in store". print is good so far. this is the third one I have installed, the first two failed to print color after approx. a year of service. so, I am on the auto ink program, and wanted to have a printer that accepts the same cartridges, so that I will not end up with paid for ink if I purchased a different model.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good while it works
I bought this printer because it was exactly like the last one I had and I had a fair amount of ink to use up. The previous printer lasted less than 2 years, which I was not thrilled with, but it was so cheap, it made more sense to buy it to use up the ink I had, rather than waste my inventory by buying a different one. When it works, it is nice. With the first one, I had issues with it staying connected to WIFI, and it took forever for it to do "Maintenance". The new one works fine, as the first one did. I will use it as long as it will last, and I will be more frugal in my ink purchases (not buy in larger quantities. I do like the new HP Smart app however.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
