    Great grips

They offer come cushion to the palms of my hands and wrists, which is much welcome. I'm an older rider who rides some rooty and rocky trails. Those trail conditions can take a toil on my joints. The fact that the Chunky's offer some cushion is great. Everything else is a bonus. Those bonuses are that they are grippy, a bit thicker than most grips, stay in place on my bar, and come in some nice colors. Speaking of color. The black is more of a dark grey instead of black, but that's OK, because I prefer the dark grey look.

NEVER GOING BACK TO PLAIN RUBBER GRIPS

These are a plus for any bike rider out there. At first i was a little hesitant about spending the extra money on these over rubber. But i do not regret it they are so much more comfortable. They are a little difficult to put on i had to use a little shop and some pushing and twisting and had to readjust a little after the first ride. But they stay in place perfectly. The one thing i do regret is not getting the thicker version . If you do ride a lot i'd suggest that and if you don't these will work fine the price will go up with the thickness...Hope this will help you in your decision

  • "Lightweight with great features"

I imagine every person has their own preference, but I like things to be a little chunky so I've got something secure to grab onto. Lets get it right, these are thick and like to be held, so we get along great! Product can be a burden to install if you have not installed before, but use helpful hints included. All mountain bikes in my household have ESI Chunky installed!

  • Best grips ever created!

I have tried all sorts of grips. Everything from the ergonomic, lock-on, standard, etc. and none of them are as good as ESI grips. I have them on all my bikes and will never go back to anything else. They just work! My hands never go numb, they never slip, they are lightweight, and they are easy to install.

  • ESI Chunky

Super light, super comfy, BUT not as easy to install/remove as lock-ons. If you constantly find yourself trying different handlebars, stick w/ lock-ons. Otherwise-buy these, they’re inexpensive and the most comfortable grip ever.

  • My favorite grips!

I used to install ODI or Lizardskin grips until a few years ago when I discovered ESI Chunky Grips. They are the best I have used, the don’t slip even after a sweaty ride, and I can even ride without gloves if I want. Even grippy in the rain and mud. Easy to install with rubbing alcohol. The only real downside it that they the ends will get torn if you hit a tree - and they will get beat up if you crash. But for the price it’s no big deal to replace them.

  • The ONLY grips I ride

These grips are all the difference in that cockpit. The dampening and comfort are excellent and the weight savings are hard to ignore. In the age of endless options in the bike industry, it's nice to have simple products that just flat out work. Anyone looking for comfort and simplicity should give these grips a consideration.

  • Light and good dry grip.

Wet grip on bare hands is sketchy. Gloves required. Grips don't well tolerate contact with trees or rock when working through tight single track. Very comfortable and secure grip. Keep spares on hand and replace as needed.

  • Chunky goodness.

No comparison between these and the super cheap Chinese imitations. These are grippy and comfortable, allowing you to ride relaxed. The knockoffs are slick, spongy, and not very secure feeling. Buy the better grip and have a better ride.

  • All time favorite grips

The silicon material provides great grip in wet and dry conditions, it doesn't break down under UV exposure and last a reasonable amount of time. The 32mm size fits my big hands well and has great shock absorbing qualities. Washing them with soap and water will return their grip after they collect some dust.
