It fits at the end of your roof poles and should be connected to the left, right, or centre connection point. This spare part is designed to fit onto the end of a Carbon-X roof pole. To connect it properly, it needs to be joined at either the left, right, or centre connection point, simply twist the pole locks into the bayonet joint into the connector.

Ideal pole connector
Broke one last time out. First one in 4 years. They only break if the bayonet is not square on to the item it is fitting, I lowered a front pole too quick before disconnecting therefore snapped the bayonet. Dead easy to replace using method found on line. These items are not glued and pop out by using a rod or dowel up the pole. New one tapped on using a rubber mallet. It is a good product and I can't think of a better method of connecting. Users just need to be careful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

We found these very easy to break on the original poles and broke two after only putting the awning up on very few occasions, they are definitely a week point. Excellent spares.
The bayonet fitting is a weak point of the fibreglass awning poles and it is really easy to break the lugs off, usually when erecting in windy conditions. To be able to get spares so easily is a real boon, and they are really easy to fit - simply saw off the broken one and slip on the new. Easy to replace
Bought this not knowing how to remove the old and fit the new. I simply used a 22mm copper pipe I had which finitely down the carbon tube to knock out the old fitting and tapped the new one on, simple fix!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
