It's OK, but the brass bolt that threads into the alloy saddle valve to tighten the valve against the supply pipe just doesn't tighten The thread does not grip....No, I didn't over tighten it and strip the thread! It was just useless, and then you have to improvise. Good luck. Very annoying when you trust you are getting a decent product and there's a flaw in it. Water filter
The filter tap is great, but the aqua filter cartridge is not good at all. My water is hard water and needed a cartridge that also softens the water too so I ditched the aqua cartridge and bought one from Screwfix by bwt it's a bit better than the aqua cartridge but if you want proper filtered water you will need a double or triple stage filter.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great tasting water
Once you start using filtered water you will not go back to buying g bottled water which just pollutes the environment. The product is easy to install and the supplied tap is solid but I did not use it because my kitchen tap comes with a drinking tap option. I must say I had to call the supplier to affirm confidence with the self piercing valve as it is my first and they were excellent and sent me a youtube video which was easy to follow. That me done with bottled water now. One thing to watch out is the flow direction of the filter the inlet pipe must be placed in the same direction of the arrow and the outlet to your tap should be at the arrow end. Easy go to assemble and fit, with natural tasting fresh water as a result.
Arrived a couple of days after ordering. Easy to read instructions, easy to assemble and fit. Didn't drill into the sink top, as it was close to the existing tap, didn't have the correct drill bits, and didn't want to annoy the woman downstairs again, with noisy drilling, so opted to drill a hole in the work top instead, just using the variable speed for a less noisy gentle drilling. No complaints made. Simply couldn't drink London tap water, compared to Cumbrian & Scottish water which is always nice out off the tap, but this filter makes a big difference to the taste and texture. Was tired of filling up the Britta style water filters all the time, costing a fortune to replace filters, so this turned out to be a good investment.

Installed today. Very easy. Only received 2 olives and 2 Inserts. In the picture shown 3. Not sure if needed the extra olive and insert. So far no leak, maybe find out later. Let's hope not!

i've just had it fitted. it took a plumber around an hour to fit including the new tap. I now have very tasty water. I haven't had to change the filter yet myself of course so can't say whether it's simple or difficult. So far so good.
