This print head addressed the main issue of poor definition and missing colours. However, when reviewing the test printouts, there were some fine lines visible in areas of solid colour. So you couldn't really print photos with it.(I couldn't see a method of calibrating the head via the driver software.)
But hey, it was good enough to revitalise my old MP560 which has been used with compatible cartridges for many years.
Works perfectly in my old Canon MG5150. This had stopped working with error 200 - printhead failure.
Now I have an excellent printer again. Saving getting it repaired - around £150 or replaced - around £200.
When the print head goes on an inkjet printer, usually your only cost-effective option is to junk it and buy a new one; after all, a new print head costs nearly the same as a printer. That's why I was so pleased to find somewhere that sells decent quality second-hand printheads for under half the cost of a new printer.
