Value engineering
These are economy pliers. They work and, for me, they work well. They are, however, not particularly well finished and the tips are not as hard as I would wish. With careful use they will grip large circlips and move them effectively. Careless use will round the tips as the circlip slips off, reducing the useful life of the pliers. Hence the 3 stars - a couple of quid more with hardened tips and it'd be 5 stars. There are reviews complaining that they are too big - the answer is to make sure of the holes in the circlips to be removed or fitted before buying.
