I read some reviews that said there was no template. mine came without a template but it was easy to make one from a sheet of paper. Wiring was easy but where my ceiling was slightly uneven the brackets were difficult a little out of line. A bit of fiddling got it to fit. OK but....
You'll need a terminal connector or block because there is no base plate supplied with this product. Very tricky to hold fitting in one hand while inserting and tightening wires into a connector dangling from the ceiling.
