GREAT, with one wish un-met
This is a palette with a warm row, a cool row, and a neutral row. But like MOST high end palettes these days it has a definite cool skew. Even the "warm" row is still relatively cool, so I was left with few truly warm colors. I had to get some Makeup Geek poppy and morocco to balance things out! But this palette makes up for its very obvious cool bias by having a very nice formula that has little fallout, "blends like buttah," and stays put. In terms of quality, Tarte eyeshadow is probably in the top 5, even including shadow brands that cost twice as much. Matte palettes are not all that common.... This palette contains basically three different presorted smokey eye palettes in one, which you can easily mix as you please. Absolutely lovely hues and very pigmented. Very nice palette for the price.
I have the two other tartelette palettes (toasted and in bloom) and although reviews state the authenticity I have my doubts. The cases are very different and the shades smell different than the authentic ones. This seller says they get overstock and factory oopsies so maybe that's why? I buy a lot of cosmetics as an artist. This eyeshadow is by far the best in the market along with Mally shadow sticks. I actually use Mally on the bottom and a light brush over it with this tartelette. This matte version is especially good for women over 40.
