    Pleasant supprise

I bought this speed controller with the thoughts that it would save me around £20 on my tried and tested mtroniks speed controller that I would usually buy. To be honest I wasn't expecting much because I have always thought If you pay peanuts you get monkeys, But not in this case, nicely packaged and It was obvious how to set up very well made with a quality feel, and to my surprise it worked straight out of the box in my model boat Can't ask for more, I will definitely buy another one

    Unusable

When programmed this unit worked well. However, the programming method, in conjunction with my radios safety 'ensure zero throttle on switch-on' feature, meant that the ESC lost its programming every time the receiver was switched on. This meant that each time I wanted to use it I had to spend several minutes fiddling about repeatedly switching my radio on & off to get the ESC in a useable state of programming. So within a week I got fed up and dumped it and fitted another ESC.

  • Running twin esc,s

I've been having problems with a twin engined boat , the motors would not start at the same time so steering was very difficult when using autopilot. Once I changed to hobbywing quickrun 1060 all problems went away , the control is smooth and equal and the setup was very simple. Top quality and well priced

  • Well capable esc

Replaced esc on ftx carnage for this one. Only running nimh but this can do lipo as well. Old esc would steer on its own when battery was low causing crashes and the need for replacement parts but not this one. Its runs the battery down whilst remaing in control then just stops dead at its preset nimh minimum voltage job done. Will cut out apparantly if to hot unlike my original that melted itself and the motor happy days.

So far so good. Easy to install and does what it says on the box. In the current climate, I have yet to ' float my boat '.
