I can't say enough about this stuff. Wooden handle to plastic with a cover, it's still the best out there. Long lasting, fits into even a shaped mandolin case's bits box. No fingertip snag on the wounds, even with onstage sweaties..Also keeps the strings and fingertips conditioned and just slippery enough to be conducive. Yeah, you could say that I like it a bit. Works great and is easy to use!
Been using this stuff for years. It lasts for a very long time, and is easy to use. Just wipe it on before you play, and use the enclosed cloth to wipe off the excess. Best fret & string cleaner on the market
Used Fast Fret for approximately 20 years on all my stringed instruments. Only issue I have, after trying different manufacturers, is that it is not the same as years past. Fast Fret used to be larger (more) and have a wooden handle. It seems nowadays you get less product for the price and I'm not a fan of the plastic handle. How did I miss this !
Recently I went to a Crowbar concert, Kirk and his Bass player were pulling out what looked like a big tube of chap stick and running it across their strings and wiping it down a few time during the concert , I was fortunate to meet Kirk Windstein and his Wife Robin , and got to talk to Kirk for over an hour , among other things I learned was GHS Fast Fret ! I've been playing 30+yrs and tried all kinds of stuff to sound / play better but never gave any thought to any kind of string cleaner / lube , dismissing it as a gimmick , Man was I wrong ! cleaning strings was never a problem , but the mild lubrication of the Fast Fret is AWESOME ! Still my favorite string grease
This product has been around a long time and I feel it’s even gotten better.. The cover on the end helps it last longer than before..Great improvement. Helps Strings Last Longer.
On those times when the humidity is high and your fingers seem to stick to the strings, this will solve the problem. This also helps my string last longer by cleaning the salt and dirt my fingers left behind. Even if I wipe down my string after each session they don't last very long. Eliminates string drag and most of the string noise.
I've been using Fast-Fret for years on my banjo. Keeps the strings slick and the fretboard oiled, I also use it on the back of the neck for speed. One wipe on and a quick wipe with the rag and I'm ready to go. Leaves a very slight bit of oil on my hand that dissipates quickly. No odor that I've noticed. I really like this product. Just use it for crying out loud!
This is the best product and I've been playing for 53 years and using this since the 1990s. It is good to revive dead sounding strings and lasts for years if you keep the lid on tightly when not being used. Guitars of any kind, mandolins, banjos, string family/ violin etc., autoharp, dulcimer, bass elec/acoustic/double bass.
