It works as long as the drain/pipe is not too deep
It does work and we have been using it for 6 months now with no problems, one issue is that we needed to fit in a deep drain and securing it in place and adjusting the tilt was very difficult as it was almost impossible to reach the pipe and secure it in position. What is required is a tool or metal handle with a U shaped end to grip it and place it in the pipe at difficult to reach places. Unless you can get it at a discounted price it does work out to be a bit expensive.

Hopefully an end to back flow
Have to be honest that I bought this one by mistake as I needed the 6inch version. It is well made and looks like it would do the job well. I have since installed the larger version and although being a very loose fit think that it will stop the back flow that the drains suffered during the last heavy downpour. I still think it’s a bit pricey for what it is although I bought this one at a decent price by bidding on EBay

Great solution
I had a sewer pipe back up into an outhouse and I used this to stop it happening again. It works well and is easy to install. It has stopped the drain smells as well in the outhouse which was an unplanned benefit. It is a good product and I couldn't find anything like it anywhere else.
