This is a fine book for a Collier Campbell fan. It details the sisters' career along with their design philosophy and contains numerous lovely pictures. My two complaints are that, as large as the book is, first, it cannot and does not cover all their many designs, and second, it makes no serious attempt to show the different color combinations in which those of even the designs it most prominently features were marketed. The first complaint is unavoidable. The sisters were prolific designers for some fifty years. But the second is not, and I found this lapse annoying. Where is the tan version of Cote d'Azure? Where are the blue version of the Gypsy Dance bedding and the pastel turquoise version of the Zuni bedding? This book's reader gains the impression that these three prominent lines were only produced in their basic color, even though it is mentioned somewhere in the text that the usual design production involved at least four color line developments.
