Good picture quality, but the sound is something else
Motion detection not compatible with Windows 10, please bear this in mind before purchasing. The camera itself has a built in microphone which you will need to switch off in Sounds/Recording devices as it'll still pick up sound even if you have a microphone plugged in already. Trust me, you will want to disable it. Since most webcams are latched onto the monitor this means that the microphone is an arms' length away from you causing it to sound distant, and if like many you have a monitor on a table that's against the wall then not only will you get the distant sound your voice will bounce off the wall and be picked up by that ultra sensitive microphone so you have both your voice sounding distant and echoing. Your best bet is to use a proper microphone or headset than relying on the built in microphone that comes with this webcam. As for the picture quality it is very good and crystal clear and that for me is more important so I'm pleased with it. Setting up the camera was very simple also, just simply plug it in and it's ready to use. The mount that comes with it doesn't actually grip my monitor however since the camera itself isn't front or back heavy and the mount has a padded base it can easily dangle off the top of the monitor without moving or slipping.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Disapointed
I thought this was going to be a step up from my cheap LifeCam 3000 but ive been disappointed with it, takes a while to adjust the settings to be just right but even then the image isn't as sharp as my LifeCam. Also with the LifeCam the quality doesn't deteriorate when adjusting the contrast and brightness like the Logitech does , the Logitech starts getting blurry if u adjust it too much one way or the other . seems extremely fiddly to get a decent image and even then I don't think its that great imo the only plus is its field of view is wider than the LifeCam not used the built in mic on the 960 so I cant say if its good or not but other reviews ive seen recommend using an external mic . its an ok product well built but as they go for around £50 - £60 I would of expected the image to be a lot betterVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great product!
I know it has been the same product for the last few years, but is still rated the best you can get in 2017-2018. My wife was amazed with the detail, said she could see the pours of my skin now. Easy to set up with the general USB "Plug and Play" using generic drivers. Installing the software, full control on the webcam is easier said than done, it sometimes takes a while to auto focus (putting your hand close to the camera and removing resolves the problem). One bit of advice is to be careful moving the camera as it is a fingerprint magnet! Very difficult if not impossible to completely clean fingerprints off the clear front plastic lens protector also. Amazing product, let down mainly due to the flawed and very outdated software combined with its difficulty to actually keep clean from fingerprints. Software not fully compatible with Windows 10
Excellent picture quality with lots of control over camera settings for every possible lighting situation. However, with Windows 10 the built in video recording and still picture facility DO NOT WORK. Still pictures can be taken with the W10 Camera app however. Works fine with Skype as well. Also - again a W10 issue - the motion detection feature WILL NOT WORK. Easy to install and use
For it's price, I would still say that this is still relevant with the C922 version, especially the fact that it can shoot HD quality and if you do not mind the 'non-green screen effect'. But if this is your first time getting a webcam and if you have the budget to spend more, you could always get the C922 just to have a slightly better upgrade. Installation Nightmare
The Logitech Graphics Software (LGS) will not load, reporting 0x000007b which is a conflict between 32 and 64 bit architecture software. Skype cannot find the camera. Logitech has yet to resolve the issues. I have spent 4 days applying myriad failed 'solutions' from the internet to what is a apparently a major problem with the latest 64 bit Windows 10 upgrade. Logitech is the devil and Microsoft the deep blue sea. However, the image quality is crisp with auto focus and auto contrast control.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
