As good as the Skoda original
The original flip case of my 2010 Skoda Fabia ignition key broke and I bought this as a replacement to fit myself. The quality of the replacement case is as good as the original and the key was fitted to it following an instruction video on social media without much difficulty. It has now been in regular use for the past month or so without any problems. The only apparent difference from the Skoda original is that the circular depression to house the Skoda logo is slightly too small to accomodate the one from the original Skoda case - but who cares!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Replacement Skoda key fob
I used search engines to find the method to strip the key, swap over the electronics and rebuild. The remote locking still worked. great money saving product
Having seen another review I ordered with trepidation, iOrdered because the price was good enough to not worry if I couldn't get the key to work. Was it worth the gamble? Yes definitely. The fob arrived the next day and looked identical to the one it was due to replace. The reason I needed a new fob was beacause the previous owner of a newly purchased vehicle had managed to bend and effectively break the manual key blade holde. Along with a well used fob. So either a new key ( several hundred pounds) or try this. I checked out on you tube how To change the key over. It looks easier on the video than it actually is. It took me about an hour ( straightening out the key and destroying the old case to let to the electronics. But it all went back together easily. I think good diy skills needed unless you have all the right tools. Overall not a difficult job and I am so chuffed I have saved a small fortune. Excellent Service - really helpful advice
I found it really hard to find anyone to repair my SEAT key fob, so I bought the case to do the refurb. myself. However, after a few messages to and from Nick, he offered to do the job for me. I agreed his refurb. for me for an extra £25 rather than risk causing damage to the electronics. Well worth it! Well made with it even having the writing inside the key fold. Came with tool to push old pin out that was very helpful, although I bought a spair pin just in case. My old car chip fit straight in but my old blade needed some filling as it was fatter then blade provided.
