  • Almost excellent

There's a lot I like about this veneer adhesive. The colour is perfect for oak (and also nearly matches my carpet where I spilled some!). It is easy to apply and incredibly strong so long as it is clamped to maintain even pressure while drying. Would have got 5 stars but I was being very fussy, like nearly every veneer glue it is really important to wipe any excess off before it dries as it is very difficult to remove once it has dried.

  • Cold press glue.

Never used veneer before, was told I had to use contact adhesive, but I went for this, glad I did, once two items are placed together using contact adhesive, that's it, they are stuck together. But with this glue, you can move/slide the veneer into position. The glue was easy to use, did not bleed through the veneer, and has an applicator on the top. I applied the glue then used a spreader, placed the veneer where I wanted, weighted the veneer down for a few hours, and hey presto, perfect finish.

  • Excellent all round

Excellent for small jobs with home made press. No bleed through, as suggested (checked with cherry) and veneer does not slip when initially pressed. I normally use cascamite which has all the above problems and cost is similar based on typical usage.

  • TIGHT BOND WOOD GLUE

I find this brand & all tight bond glues as excellent & have have always used it, much better & stronger than white PVA glue & easy to work with. Mac
