After joining the Penguins at Monte Carlo they attract too much attention from Animal Control. Their plans at crossing Europe are consistently hampered by the Captain of Animal Control who wants to make Alex (Ben Stiller) a part of his collection. Noah Baumbach provides the script, with Eric Darnell handling director duties. Also features voices from, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Sacha Baron Cohen reprise the voice roles, with Frances McDormand stepping in as the villain.

Often a sequel falls far short of the original story,but not so in this case. The movie is fast paced, visually a feast, and verrry funny. This story line stands alone, and does not require the viewer to have seen the previous films. Extremely entertaining, I have already watched it twice and can't wait to watch it again ! I bought this DVD for my grandchildren aged 3 & 2 and they absolutely loved it. Their mum tells me that they ask for it to be played a couple of times each day and both dance to the Firework song.
