better then expected
for the price that i have paid it's better then expected. had to work on the blade. the adjusteble peace, is not perfect. also the tuning mechanisem is not working so well

Pretty damn useless
I realise these are cheap, but I was hoping not nasty. Blade came chipped and teaspoon blunt. Controls graunchy and stiff, and the blade grind was way off straight. A quick check showed the steel as soft... You'd need a new blade. You might be able to salvage these with work, but I certainly wouldn't be happy using it as a primary tool. I gave it 2 stars for salvageability. Save yourself the hastle and buy used. A factory seconds axminster version is only £30... And that's worth some extra effort.

Amazing value.
This seems to be a very good product for the price, it is solidly constructed and works well. I have sharpened the blade and am yet so see how long it keeps an edge but on face value I am very happy.

Great little plane once you take off the burrs and sharpen the blade. Definitely wort a little time to get a nearly good plane into a great plane.
