Best. Powerbank. Ever.
This is a brilliant piece of kit. Cheaper, lighter, hardier, smaller, and higher mah than any other I've found in this price range. Unlike most others at this price point, it doesn't add a zero or two to the number of mah it really holds in order to sell more units. The solar panel isn't brilliant, but then with a device this size, you wouldn't expect it to be. In my long distance hiking kit, I also carry a folding solar panel containing four panels which is just enough to actually charge stuff - and this device is half the size of a single one of those panels. It's just not big enough to be good. But nobody pretends it's good. It's a trickle charge. If you're the sort of person who goes on a long walk once a month, and only need the charger then, you could stick it on the windowsill. If you're using it on a daily basis, forget it - mains charge it. But to reiterate, that's a compromise between size and power. It's about as good as it can be in this form factor. Hardiness, as the postman knocked on the door to deliver it, he dropped it. I promptly hung it out in the sun, and went to bed. I woke up a few hours later to find it was blowing a gale, and had been raining since shortly after I went to bed. Despite a horrendous first day, the it was happy to carry on working, and charge my devices just fine. Charge was at two bars when I brought it in, it's fully charged two phones, and four electronic cigarette batteries, and there's still one bar left. Weight wise, it's about the same as my phone. Not very much at all. You'll barely notice it in your rucksack. The only criticism I can find is that it has two USB ports, which are both 5v 1a. The advert doesn't claim anything different, but most powerbanks come with one 1a port, and one 2a port. That's not a problem - most people won't even understand what difference that makes, and wouldn't know the difference if they had the option anyway. Overall, I'm very happy with this device. If I had an unlimited amount of money to spend on a powerbank, I'd still want one of these - though possibly with a bigger battery. It's that good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Handy backup battery pack
This was really good value for money, but not the 100,000mAh capacity stated, it is more like 20-30,000mAh. It takes around 8 hours to fully charge and the solar panel will keep it topped up but don't expect it to fully charge the battery. The instructions are clear about that. It does give a full 2A and 1A output, even at the same time to charge two phones. For the price, it is good as a backup to charge or power your devices. The LED that acts as a torch is quite bright.
