Good solution when you have pets
This a better solution for pest control when you have pets around and cannot use poison or an open trap. Not sure what aspect of it is supposed to be accurate as the review asks but it does all fit together well, appears to be well made and easy to use but time will tell. So far not caught anything but that is not the fault of the product. Not sure how you can use the tiewrap to load it, tried but it just seems impossible, the lockable lid is easy enough to open anyway.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Powerful, effective and easy to use product
This is a solid trap that has already yielded me 2 catches in the space of a week. The mechanism is very powerful and looked like it dispatched the 2 catches instantly and as humanely as possible. It's easy to set and the cable tie attached to the mechanism means it's easy to see when the trap has gone off (just a dab of white paint on the cable tied helps with this too). A Good Quality Product

Not fit for purpose.
The rats really enjoy the peanut butter both at the entrances as a teaser but also in the main trap area. Unfortunately I appear to have a rat variety that use a long spoon to scoop out the peanut butter in the kill zone rendering it useless. This is my 15th attempt and the only hit I have had is a baby mouse whilst my real prey continues to gambol around the garden undisturbed. Well made and works really well!
I keep a few chickens and thus rats can be a problem. I've tried shooting which works but is time consuming. I tried a normal open trap but tricky with hens about. I tried a humane trap that they avoided like the plague. This trap and put in and, as the instructions say, they are wary for about a week and then they will check it out. Bingo! With the spring trap set it was four for four as in four rats in four nights! Easy to reset and with the cable tie on it's easy to see if it's been sprung. Top quality rat trap.
This is a top quality item. A strong plastic bait box with a locking mechanism and key. So no one is able to access the trap but the trapper. Also has Danger poison written on the top which is a nice touch. A strong plastic trap that fits snugly into its position inside the center of the box and a long cable tie to attach to the trap for easy setting. This is a great product but !!!!!!!!!!! The trap trigger is to stiff, therefore ratty can climb all over it without activating the mechanism. So you have to set it yourself by holding the overbar with one hand, then painstakingly push the activation foot so its barely holding the trigger mechanism .
