Excellent bag - and not just for builders!

Had been looking around for a new laptop bag and looked at various different places, luggage shops, stationery stores, but hadn't found anything as durable and hardwearing as my last piece of kit that lasted over 10 years. But this popped up in the search, and after an initial chuckle, I started looking at the features. - It's a solid, heavy canvas fabric, hard-wearing backpack/trolley case, built to be abused on a building site. So it's well constructed and will last. - It's also built to protect a laptop from whatever else you throw either at the bag or into the bag. So there's a neat padded section at the back, locked against the frame, which should keep your laptop or tablet well secured. - The rest of the bag is spacious, especially if you take out the tool tray accessory. Easily enough space to put 2/3 changes of clothes plus other essentials as an overnighter. - Fits precisely within standard RyanAir/other no-frills carry-on limits. - Discreet passport/document pocket at the top of the case, mesh grab-n-go and two huge external pockets with retainers for tools - or washbags, umbrellas, champagne (yes,I've done that) etc. - Looks more discreet than a high-end business bag and therefore less likely to get interfered with. In short, whether you're on a building site or a business class flight, this should be a choice to look at seriously.

    Never find a tool again

The idea is great, but practical wise it’s useless. If you live in London, and want to take some tools on the underground or bus to do a few jobs it’s great. But for everyday work, I just couldn’t find anything. There isn’t much space either. Also the part with all the holders that you can pull out, all the tools just end up falling out when you remove it from the bag. I spent most of my time pulling every tool out just to find one stuck right at the bottom. The zips only come down half way aswell, making it really difficult to find tools at the bottom. Wouldn’t recommend for everyday use.

  • Strong materials and zipper zip, wheels are good on smooth surfaces only, easy to use as a rucksack

I am Stanley fan. I have lots of products from them (at least 100). I had to buy another Fatmax wheeled because on the other one several problems occurred. First the wheels' axles bent, than pealed the tires off from the wheels. I was able to pool it on its plastic bottom. Than the handle came off. Then most of the zip handles broke off. But, the zippers themselves did not brake and holds tools together, The material did not brake either and its very strong. Easy to fold the long pooling handle and now I pool the new one on straight and smooth surfaces only. If that ends, I take it on my shoulder because after all its a rucksack, as well. It works out well for me just need to take better care for it. Its a little expensive. The wheels need improvement: both the axle and the wheels have to be stronger. The latch (blocking mechanism) that holds the pool handle in place will get loose and come out eventually. Now I know its weaknesses and the new one I bought lasts very well. I can use the old one as well as a backpack and I am sure it will not brake.

  • Perfect for service engineers

I am an engineer who moves between sites, and this is a very good bag for my work. It is strong and comfy when needed to be on my back, and when in the factory use the wheels to pull along. Only use the wheels on smooth floors as they are small and don't want to wreck them. The bag holds a lot and is easy to find tools when you need them

Very pleased with the tool bag making it easy to carry tools from job to job, as a gas engineer I have had many different tool boxes and bags this is my first rucksack type on wheels but would definitely recommend.

  • Toops damn fantastic

After yrs of carrying tool bags in my hands I began having bad back pains. A mate at work recommended this bag to me, within 2 weeks all my back pains was. No more carrrying heavy tool bags but rolling on smooth wheels. The bag itself is pretty strong and robust. Really spacious inside. I Highly recommend this bag. Excellentvalue for money
