About this product
Product Information
This cover is designed to protect inset gas and electric meters from damage from the weather. This overbox has been made from a thermoplastic polymer and measures 634 x 494 mm with a depth of 100mm. It can fit over any inset meter measuring up to 618 x 440 mm with a maximum depth of 66mm. Simply mark the wall where it will be placed and drill holes before fastening with screws.Product Identifiers

Great Cover
My old door was cracked, hinge was broken and it fell off on windy days! The cover I purchased was the perfect size with a cm spare around the old frame. It is well engineered (door swapped to open other way in less than a minute) and well made. My rendered wall was way off flat but the cover was easy to contour (I used a multi tool). The job was finished with a bead of silicone.

Rapid solution
A good way to restore a rusted electricity box in a couple of hours. On mine, an overbox had already been fitted and rusted out- removed with 6 screws and a bit of levering. The main feed comes from underground in a conduit for mine, so the overbox was put in place, a suitable cutout marked out, and cut out with a holesaw and hacksaw. I replaced the box, and whilst a friend held it in place, marked the wall through 6 mounting holes with a long centre punch. Removing the box, I used an SDS drill for the holes, rammed in Rawlplugs, and screwed the box to the wall with cheesehead screws. A bit of white silicone beading from a sealing gun and job done. As somebody pebble- dashed my house with small rocks, I did bash off some of the worst bits with a chisel before final screw-down, bu hopefully you won't have that problem. By the way- it wasn't entertaining, and it might have been educational, but what's all that about?Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Meter Box repair cover
This was an ideal solution for our flats where over time the flush fitted gas meters had become vandalised with broken doors. These covers can fit flush to the wall over the top of the old frames. The doors are removable to allow easy installation. Highly rated and much cheaper then the £200 we were quoted by tradesmen.

Great product - easy to fit
I needed to cover both meters as I had just had smart meters installed and both existing boxes were without doors and badly installed.
