A brilliant, high quality product
I now own 4 of these devices, all of which are networked into a Vortexbox Hi-Fi music server. The Logitech Squeezebox radio/streamer produces good quality music, all simply controlled from its display function and local device interface or remotely using an app on your phone. The Squeezebox software has been developed over a period of years and it gives great freedom to the user. The software can be dowloaded as an app onto the major types of NAS drive and hooking the Logitech Radio to the NAS is very simple to do (and you don't need to be a computer genius to do it !) Well built product with useful features and sounds good too
This is a really great product which offers useful features absent from Sonos, such as presets, a display screen, remote control and wireless portability. It's just a shame that Logitech ceased manufacturing them quite some time ago. Although to their credit, Logitech are still developing and supporting LMS (the server side of the multi-room system). Great Internet Radio with streaming capability, needs tech ' knowledge to work best though.
Great product in terms of functionality . I like the fact it's got the six favourite buttons. Rather makes it special for an internet radio. A bit long in the tooth today and no support from Logitech. However there is support from the community. You do need to be a bit tech savvy to make this work optimally in my view. Why have a Logitec Squeezebox Radio these days?
If you haven't got your CD collection on a Logitec server then a DAB radio or Alexa does the same job. If you have then this thing accesses everything you have and all the services you already have in a portable device.
