Did enjoy this The 2 jazz suites are very good Both different in Approach . The piano concerto very inventive. . Recording well engineered.

Brilliant music from a excellent Composer!
This is an amazing and truly magnificent Compact Disc and I love the music of: "Dmitri Shostakovich" ..... in particular: "The 'Second' Waltz" because, this I know, from the fantastic recording by: "ANDRE RIEU UND SEIN JOHANN STRAUSS ORKESTER".

An essential addition to a 20th century collection.
A bad this disc and lost it,as soon as I realised I purchased it again,it's essential!!How lucky we are that this versatile composer chose to embrace an element of jazz,he would have found it difficult to ignore.Duke Ellington it isn't,but it is Shostakovich!!
