Great studio headphones
I have been using these ex-29 headphones for several years in my studio. I have not had any problems with them aside from the horseshoe clips breaking from time to time (6mo/yr per). The frequency response is excellent, as well as the noise cancellation properties. They do not color the sound at all. I will certainly be using this brand and model in the years to come. Blocks out everything you don't want
Excellent for home studio recording of drums. I was able to get solid sounds for each drum as if I was in a different room altogether. Surprisingly good
These were not bought thinking of high quality mixing, they were bought for there sound isolation -- and that they do wonderfully. Drummers love them. I love them for singers who need a loud click track (won't bleed into the mic). They sound fine but will not replace my $500 Sennheisers for any mixing decsions. I like the spectral lows/highs balance MUCH better than the Sony classics, which are much to bright for my ears. They give your head a pretty good squeeze, but not terrible.
