needed a replacement printer for my Shinko 8x10
My Shinko failed all the time, and I needed a replacement. Many other event photographers owned the DS80, so I thought I'd buy one. This offer for a refurbed unit with low usage and a 1 yr. warranty was tough to pass up. I've used it several times, and am very happy with the quality of the unit and print quality. Amazing photo printer
I've worked with DS80s before, and when I had the chance to pick one up, I jumped on it. A DS80 isn't a home printer that also does photos, it's designed specifically to produce professional quality photo prints. I wish I had purchased this printer years ago. The print quality is sharp and the printer prints out pictures faster than my two ink cartridge printers that I have used at previous events. I wish suppliers would sell one roll of media and paper instead of making consumers purchase two rolls of media. The other problem I have is that DNP should design drivers that will allow me to print from all my software applications to the DNP printer.
