Secure but heavy lock with inconvenient large bracket incompatible with other Magnum lock products.
Very well made product and locks easily in place, but the D-shaped part of the lock is very long and will leave your bike really loose on any bike stand, so you HAVE to carry the cable with you and wind it round and round the stand and your frame to hold your bike tightly in place. This takes time and slows you down when leaving your bike and when collecting again afterwards. I'd also criticise the weight of this product - If you're looking for a lightweight lock look elsewhere, this one is very heavy (about 2 Kg). Also the frame mounting bracket is HUGE compared to the mounting bracket supplied with Magnum Plus' cable lock - it looks the same when you look up the product online but both the T-piece that fits in this bracket and the bracket itself is much larger than that fitted to Magnum Plus' Cable Lock. This is very annoying and inconvenient because if you own both there is no interchangeability between them. I couldn't use the mounting bracket in the end as the only space I had for it was on my top tube and as there is no notch in the top half of the bracket for the rear brake cable, it would have crushed this cable if I'd tried fitting it. All-in-all - very disappointing. Also, don't go thinking the Gold security award label will stay on this item - it won't - the sticker won't stick long on the rubber body of this lock - touch it and it will flay off.
