A sterling, multi-awarded musical sounding British speaker system from the mid-Seventies.
Mordaunt Short Pageant II three-way speakers. British designed and manufactured in 1976. It has a "long throw" 8 inch woofer and isophon soft dome tweeter. Hooked onto my vintage Pioneer SX-780 stereo receiver, I am always treated to the most evocative sound stage with its expressive, pronounced treble and warm, punchy bass. Never overwhelming, only genuine sound as the artist meant it to be. An avid vintage hi-fi collector, this mid-size speaker outshone my Mission, Bose 501, and JBL floor-standing speakers. When released in the mid-Seventies, this model received rave reviews and received substantial industry awards.
