Musical gems
Really excellent imaging, definition, and surprisingly good lower range for a speaker this small. I use them for rear surrounds in a 5.1 system, and they are excellent in that application. Angled drivers give good dispersion. Enclosures are robust, well designed, and have good attachment points on the rear for wall mounting, but I use them on stands, which works excellent as well. Do yourself a favor and use a high end amplifier. There is no such thing as an awesome speaker making a poor quality amplifier sound dramatically better. Excellent Speakers
The Definitive Technology Mythos Gem XL are very good speakers with excellent mid and high ranges. They do an excellent job of stereo separation and disbursement but will require a subwoofer for home theater applications to reach really low frequencies. The Mythos Gem's are well balanced with great tonal clarity. There is a heft to the speakers, they are heavier than expected, which is a credit to the overall design and build quality.
