Sleek with simple, basic operation
I immediately loved what I pulled from the box while opening the Delonghi DFP250 9 Cup Blender. At first, it almost seems like a piece of alien technology in comparison to so many of the other blenders full of plastic construction. This unit is heavier, but well-balanced and made of steel or aluminum. The base is well designed/centered and has suction cups for stability during operation. Thus far, I have only made some soups in it. It performs well in its class although I was disappointed to hear how loud it actually was. This was, however, less of a drawback to me as I understand that machines can be loud when in operation. This is no different if the machine is designed to destroy or pulverize objects within. This is true for wood chippers, lawnmowers, blenders and anything else should not be expected. I especially like how the kit includes not only a food processor but also a blender cup and two different kinds of standard blades (metal/plastic) and also a spinning mandoline disc set! Time will tell as I prepare other foods but so far, it is a well-designed and aesthetically pleasing unit!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
