Lose yourself in another world -
I remember seeing Centennial on TV decades ago and being very taken with it, never thinking then that one day I would be able to own a copy - there were no DVDs or VHS in those days. Watching it again after all these years was a real delight, it is an outstanding acheivement and James Michener's eloquent presence is a serious reminder to us of what the greed and lust for power have done since to the wild country surrounding the Platte River, and so much of the great continent. The historical accuracy and the portrayal of the Native Americans is particularly engaging. I will be watching Centennial again and again as the years go by.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This late 70’s series covers a lot of the old west through to modern times with a solid cast. It’s a little different In style to something like Lonesome Dove, with more of a focus on an historical overview, nor as rewarding as that fine series.
