  • Russian View of WW2

This book presumably summarises (what I assume to be,) the Russian understanding of WW2. Which is very different from the Western one. Appears to be well researched. Takes the view that Hitler was manipulated into power (and financed), by the West (specifically MI6), because of of his hatred of "Communist Russia" (and his desire to attack and destroy it). Also details his admiration for Britain/the British Empire. Provides compelling evidence of the efforts the West took getting Hitler into power. And then to "encourage" him to follow through with the German attack on Russia. Doesn't describe Hitler as a British agent as such (knowingly on the MI6 payroll). Takes the view that he was an obsessive anti-Russian, that the West successfully used to generate the German attack on Russia. A very good read (if you want an alternative to the standard Western "history" of WW2).
