Sweet, Soft, Smooth and Mellow
Until this purchase, I've only owned one guitar, a Yamaha 12-string that I bought brand new in 1970. The older I get, the more difficult it has become to hold down the strings on the 12-string, due to arthritis, nerve damage and other problems in my hands. Purchasing this smooth, sweet and mellow blond 1960 Harmony arch top with f-holes lets me return to the personal enjoyment I get from play guitar. The first thing I did after it arrived was to fit it with new softer silk and steel strings. Once I turned it, it has kept its tune, except for minor fine tuning like is needed for any guitar. The sound that comes out of those f-holes is something to behold. Wood that old that has been cared for sounds (to me at least) produces a wonderful tone that cannot be surpassed by brand new instruments. The action is just right for my weak hands. Playing guitar is fun again. Writing sweet Country music is so much easier with a good guitar. This one sounds great and is super easy to play.
