Rubbish
Not anti slam as door just slams off this unit instead of the door frame which damages the door. Unit screws onto frame with 4 small screws so needs to be fitted to flat door stop frame. It stops door from fully closing so would stop small child's figures getting trapped but i was looking for anti slam not a stopper. If door closed fast this unit stops the door from fully closing then you need to close door slowly to fully close door.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for Toy Box lid
I made a toy box for my Grandaughter, fitted it with gas struts only to find the lids slams down the last 6 inches. This device has solved the problem, it stops the lid slamming and allows closure only if done gently. It was easy to fit with 6 screws holding it to the box. There is still a finger trap on the lid edges at 90 degrees to the hinge but I’m planning to cut these edges back at an angle maintaining a finger gap at all times. Well made and effective; good value.
My use for this is different - just to hold a door ajar for ventilation. It does that; if possible, for my purpose I'd remove the ant-slam action and just have the spring. However it does exactly what it's designed to do and should be good for child safety.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
