Why I don't recommend this for a bird house.
The opening is right at the floor of the house. Birds require certain heights from the floor to the opening. There is no bird I am aware of that would use this house. After we added 4 inches to the bottom and made the opening smaller it now is the correct dimensions for wrens. If you only want this as a pretty to hang , it is perfect.
