ICOM M-80 review
An excellent product as usual for ICOM. It's sensitive and the audio is excellent. The LCD display is easily readable It's an obsolete unit though as it doesn't have any modern marine distress features (GPS link, Channel 70 data tranmission, etc.). I would not recommend it as the primary VHF for vessel installation. The loud hailer function is an added plus. This radio is installed as a Coast Guard Auxiliary radio fixed land facility so the distress function isn't necessary.
