ATLANTIS AT210 FACTORY RECONDITIONED WATER SOFTENER
Our old water softener was on its last legs, and this one (factory reconditioned by Atlantis - but seemed as new to me) at a bargain price stood out. We weren't disappointed. Installing it ourselves was not too difficult, aided by a video if you google 'How to Install an Atlantis AT210'. There is a separate installation kit available from Atlantis, but the components of the kit can be assembled on your own. I preferred pushfit to the kit's compression stop valves. The fitting for hard in and solf out is 3/4" each end but I understand that washing machine hoses are not suitable, and also being rather long at a typcal 1.5m, so I found Monarch flexible 600mm pipes from a local plumbing shop. You will also need hoses for the waste and overflow. I found that cut lengths of garden hose willl do for both. Set up once installed is simple - test your water for hardness using the kit supplied and choose the right setting from four options. I wasn't sure it would work straight from the box, so I ran a manual recharge first. Early days yet, but it seems to be very economical on salt tablets.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Refurbed softerner
Just bought this and fitted it a couple of days ago. I live in a hard water area and started to see all of my taps, shower heads scale up, also noticed how my towels after washing were somewhat not as soft as I would have liked. I've noticed that since installing the softener, the water does seem softer, I've noticed the cutlery seems to sparkle more than usual. It does seem to have made a difference so far, but won't really know more for a few days or even weeks yet. Positive so far.
