It's a puzzle game that is easy to play and makes you think ahead. Suitable for 6 or 7 year olds upwards. Works OK with two people, better with three or four, I think.
Have played the original version of this game and was disappointed with some aspects of the design of the Harry Potter version: the board tiles could be more varied, the pictures of the characters are too small on the tiles and the playing pieces are standard conical things - why on earth could they not have little wizard characters like the original game! And why two copies of Luna? Where is Fawkes? Why Rufus Scrimgeour and not Cornelius Fudge?
In my opinion, the original version is preferable from the design point of view but the playing of the game is the same whichever you have.
