  • "Them!" is the bestest

Even as an adult, this 1950's scifi class still gets my heart racing. Just like Godzilla, this is a fantastic classic that epitomizes the 50's public protest on atomic weapons by illustrating the unforeseen catastrophic effects (in this case, giant ants). These films are from my youth when "scary" meant "just scary enough" but still very entertaining while exciting the imagination. Starring James Whitmore (Shawshank Redemption), Edmund Gwen (Miracle on 34th St.), James Arnes (Gunsmoke), Fess Parker (Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone), Leonard Nimoy (yes...Mr. Spock), Dub Taylor, and a young Dick York (Bewitched) it doesn't get much better than this.

  • One of the greatest sci fi movies

Awesome huge ants. As a result of nuke testing. What could go wrong, well giant ants attacking us cities of course! Great fun movie...not scary for kids and great characters. Highly recommended for your family to enjoy.

  • Classic SF

For anyone that likes old sci-fi movies this one is a must see and must have in your collection. For the time it was made it is not bad as special effects go, don't judge it by todays standards. But as a foot note, they seemed to have used the same sound effects in one of the Dresden Files TV series as they did for the ants in Them.

  • Enjoyed the movie . . .again.

I first watched "THEM" as a twelve year old in 1954. It was a scary movie then - it still is, but not graphic like a typical horror movie. Good family movie - no sex or language issues. One negative - lots of cigarette smoke. The quality of the black and white image from the DVD was excellent.

  • One of the 50's sci-fi best.

This film is an example of the best sci-fi of the 50's. The is the best of the giant bug movies, up there with Forbidden Planet, War of the Worlds and The Day the Earth stood still for credible characters and easy to accept story background. For me this is a must have.

  • A Classic 1950s Sci-fi Movie

I watched Them when I was a kid and it scared me and I was afraid of the dark after watching Them. The actors portray their parts really well, I enjoyed James Arness and James Whitmore especially. The story is believable and this is a classic science-fiction movie of the 1950s. I highly recommend Them.

  • What's a Party without Ants?

This sci-fi classic, set in the American Southwest, gives a new perspective on insects and how they can really disjoint society. The DVD arrived as promised. It's a good value for the money.

  • Great special effects. No remakes of this I hope. Leave it as it is.

The sound was great, the picture was equal. Not too many negative comments. I was completely satisfied with this product.

  • Class 50’s Sci-Fi

This film is number 72 on AFI scariest movie moments. It is a 1950’s classic expressing the fear of the atomic age and man’s miss use of that power.
