Outdoor enthusiasts use the Motorola Talkabout MS350R two-way radio set to maintain contact over a range of up to 35 miles. When you need a means of mobile communication but cell towers are sparse, these radios operate under any conditions. Use the Vibracall feature so that the device vibrates when a message is incoming. This is helpful when you need to be as quiet as possible. These handheld radios stand up to inclement weather and are fully waterproof, so if you get caught in the rain or drop your radio in a puddle or stream, the water stays out of the radio. The device even floats, allowing you to easily retrieve it if you drop it while out boating or kayaking. These Motorola Talkabout Radios are ideal for a hunting or fishing trip due to their weather resistance. They operate at sub-freezing temperatures with a range of 0 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The Talkabout features ridges to help you keep a grip on the radio and a headset in case you need to use the radio's hands-free function while hiking or working outdoors. These Motorola Talkabout radios are also usable on the PTT repeater function. This enhances your ability to communicate across wide distances. These products also enjoy great signal qualities if you are inside of a concrete structure. Use them to locate your party in a large building or in a parking garage. This Motorola MS350R delivers 5 watts of power. If you use them on frs/gmrs channels, they are usable anywhere in the world where you are traveling. The frequency response range of this Motorola Talkabout series is 62.550 to 467.7125 MHz. Stations 1 through 7 operate on a shared FRS/GMRS. Channels 8 through 14 are FRS only, and channels 15 through 22 are GMRS only. The amount of power is dependent on the station. Stations 1 through 7 and 15 through 22 operate at 1500 mW. The lower-powered stations are 8 through 14, and they operate on 500 mW. These MS350R accessories use three AA batteries, using a rechargeable battery or regular units. To check the life left in the batteries, use the indicator gauge on the battery compartment. When you are using these two GMRS channel accessories, they work for about 24 hours before the battery packs need to be replaced. Extend this lifespan by switching the Motorola radios to standby. Each of these two-way Motorola Talkabout radios measures about 1.5 inches thick by 2.4 inches wide by 8.36 inches long. Each radio weighs about 6.4 ounces. A little complicated
We wanted something that is easy to use. This unit does much more than we simpletons needed. The written instructions were totally useless, so we called customer support. The tech support guy walked us through how to use the units...yes, he was wonderful and in 10 minutes had us very happy wit our units. Our only hope is that we have half of the range promised. Good radio
We still run deer dogs at my hunting club we use walkie talkies to talk to each other and figure out where the dogs are going , our club is hilly so sometimes you can get in a bottom and cant get out very well . Nice simple radio
Great radio for my kids. Being waterproof and well built make it a great choice for kids. I also like the yellow color to make it easier to spot if dropped. I added the speaker/mic and found it makes the audio both transmitting and receiving much better. Great radios for the job site and the fair
I am a Chief Inspector on a construction site and these radios are perfect for my work. They are very clear throughout the job site and hold a charge for more than 14 hours. The pocket clips could use a little upgrade. I have had the clip portion that inserts into the back of the radio break on two of my radios. That is a minor thing to me. We also used two of the radios when we took the family to the Texas State Fair. They were very useful in locating my daughter and her family when we were separated. Rugged and designed well
