  • Great pedals for a very competitive price

I bought This pedal as well as the Californian and the British plus a couple of single use pedals. The singel use pedals were the Phaser and the Plexi, both of which I'm not very thrilled with. The Phase pedal is ok but very limited with only the speed knob to play with and the Plexi just sounds really hissy and just plain bad, I can't get a decent overdrive sound out of it. BUT the big pedals, The American, the Britich and the Californian are all great flexible pedals, all with their own unique sounds. They are all supposed to be amp simulations of the Fender amp, the Marshall and the Mesa Boogie respectively. I have no idea which Fender or which Marshall or which Mesa but I guess they want to be in the general ball park sound wise. To me the American had the least drive out of the three but I guess more head room with the clean sounds whereas the British seemd to have a thinner sound than the Californian and I found myself sometimes having to play with the bass eq on the California to try and stop it sounding muddy. At $40 or around about there you can afford to buy all of them and have a play and decide for yourself. A lot of fun and if anyone says they are not proffesional enough, what exactly is a professional sound anyway? As long as you are getting what you want out of it.
