  • One of the best

Arguably one of the very best Transformer stories in any medium/timeline, this is certainly one of the best from the IDW 2005-2018 run. Fantastic artwork and a compelling story. Though to be fair, it's probably more fun if you already know the story Target: 2006 from the Marvel UK timeline, but it's so well drawn and written it can still stand on its own merits. This is also available in a paperback edition entitled "The Wreckers Saga", which collects Last Stand Of The Wreckers together with the later sequels Sins Of The Wreckers and Requiem Of The Wreckers. All three strips are collected over various volumes of Hachette's hardback partwork series The Definitive G1 Collection, so why buy this particular edition? Well, this is a larger format hardcover than the Hachette version, which really benefits the artwork. Plus, you get several excellent additional strips and text stories unavailable in the other two versions, character profiles, a cover gallery, reproductions of promotional adverts, original script extracts... basically a fan's dream. This could only have been better if they'd incorporated the other two stories that are collected in The Wreckers Saga as well, but I suppose we can't have anything truly definitive otherwise there'd be no need to keep buying... In spite of that last sentence, I thoroughly recommend this book to any fan of the Transformer comics (the good ones).

  • An amazing book.

This was one of the best TF books I read. The story was great. The characters were amazing. And the artwork is fantastic.
