Great ereader
This is a great ereader. Kobos have a lovely build quality and reading screen. The best thing about choosing kobo as opposed to kindle is that you're free to buy books from different shops (feed, google,kobo, gutenberg) whereas amazon ebooks can only ever be read on a kindle (even their free public domain books). Also you can read library books on kobos as long as you have adobe editions (free software) on your computer. I also really like seeing the book covers in the menus and being able to set book covers to show on the lock screen. Personally i prefer the non-touch versions so that you cant accidentally turn the page, but touch screen functionality is obviously much better for menus and additional features. However, that said, this kobo touch is nice and compact (a better size than the original non-touch kobo wifi) with intuitive interface and a better page size than kobomini.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Satisfactory e-reader
What's good - easy to read, and quite easy to adjust font size and line spacing to get what you want. Quick to download new books, and to sync with the Kobo desktop. What's less good - tends to re-boot from time to time for no obvious reason. Great reader, lightweight and easy to use
More difficult to register than I had hoped, as I had to use a computer and the Kobo app does not work with XP either. Once registered however the device is a delight to use. Replacement e-reader
I bought this e-reader to replace a Kobo mini I had bought me as a gift 6 years ago! The Kobo touch is larger but is still easy to carry, I found it easy to register with my existing account, it is simple to use and has a few features the mini didn't have. not very bright for 2020
It works very smoothly and its battery life is outstanding. However it's a dated model and the screen is not very bright. It's quite a lot less dark than a normal book would be. they're not making it anymore so if you're buying a used one it might be worth spending a little more and get a screen with more contrast. Product as described
The Kobo ereader arrived promptly andbefore selling was as described. However I had to do a hard factory reset before I could use it and register the product with Kobo.
