The external diameter was a good fit but the internal diameter was too small, so I had to cut it to match the replacement. I knew this beforehand, but couldn't find an exact match anywhere. Fix the constant trickle of water down the back of the pan
If you have a grey gerebit washer they blister, then they toilet will keep on filling on its own every hour or so. This is a dead easy fix. Unclip the middle of the flush valve from the cistern pull it out, pull off the old washer, put on the new one then make sure any writing faces up so the smooth side of the washer is on the bottom. Clip the flush valve back in. Job done. Save money on your water meter by a 10 minute fix rather than just letting it leak.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

you could just prick the old one
Running toilets are, apparently a feature of older Geberit units. In my case - and I gather this is very common, we had two toilets which both started running within a few weeks of each other. Both were installed during some renovation work we had carried out ten years ago. It seems that the rubber eventually starts to delaminate and small 'bubbles' appear on the surface. Amazingly these are enough to break the seal and cause the toilet to run continuously. Prick the bubbles and hey presto - no more leaking toilet. But for the sake of a couple of quid it's worth getting the replacement (non-rubber) seal which apparently has been developed by Geberit to solve this issue. Cheap washer saves the planet.
The old bog sealing washer got the pox, covered in blisters and now leaked, causing a hissing sound of perpetual filling in the cystern. This soft, cheap, plastic washer replaced it, and now, much to my wifes delight, has stopped the hissing , hissing. Saved myself a £50 plumbers callout fee and getting it from here saved me a more expensive bus fare into town. Even though I'm not on a water meter, relacing the poxed washer saved the planet from a drought. Photo is of deseased washer.

A small but effective repair item
I was having quite a bit of trouble with my concealed cistern toilet. Basically water continued to flow into the bowl at a slow rate even when the flush sequence had completed. A little research on the internet gave me confidence to remove the front panel and access the internal. components. Sequence is a) isolate the water via the internal tap b) Remove the lever mechanism for flushing c) uncouple and remove the water filling valve necessary to make room for the next step d) squeeze black tabs together at rear of flush assembly which can now be withdrawn through the (small) access aperture. The seal is at the bottom of this and stops flow into the toilet itself. Mine was distorted and had water blisters hence the leak. Replace with new and refit the whole thing remembering to turn the water back on. Hey presto no leak at all. The only question remaining is why do these seals degrade after just 5 years? I bought several of these spares so I'm am covered for a long time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does the job: hope it lasts longer than the original!
Plumber fitted it in about 20 minutes and it cured the leak from the cistern pipe. Can't give it 5 stars as I don't know how long it will last: the original lasted just over 7 years. That didn't seem very long given the damage that water leaks cause: I have to replace the laminate plinths which swelled and burst from the leak. Close-coupled cisterns haven't given me this kind of problem in the past so the original Geberit design is a bit suspect.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
