The Adcom GFA-5800 two-channel power amplifier gives a power-packed performance every time and with every application. The range of sounds produced by the 400-watt amplifier reproduces audio with crisp clarity. It maintains a constant output of power with a high damping factor. With 250-watts per channel, the delicate sounds of instrumentals and the thumping bass of heavy metal are pumped out with outstanding audio quality. The signal to noise ratio is 100 dB. The heavy amplifier produces distortion-free sound with very little vibration. Awesome amp, great sound stage!
This amp is a hidden gem! It’s designed by Nelson Pass! So it runs hot due to the high bias point, 10 watts class A then class A/B 20 watts to clip. The only downfall is the cheap capacitors from the factory so plan on replacing the small supply capacitors.Verified purchase: Yes
