    Great stuff

Really lovely to use, good texture, coverage and pleasant smell. My only gripe is that it lasts so long. I've had my first pot for over a year and it just doesn't seem to run out! I want to try some of the other 'flavours' but can't justify that until this pot at least shows some sign of getting low! It really shows what a rip-off the canned foams are. They are nowhere near as good as this and last a fraction of the time. I know you need to invest in a badger-hair brush, but using one just makes the whole shaving experience a more pleasurable experience. Happy to recommend.

    Smells stale.

Lathers very well for a soap but it has a stale unpleasant smell, not at all attractive. Gave a good shave but the smell is not appealing.

  • Best Shaving Soap in over 50 years.

I've Wet Shaved all my life the past almost 60 yrs) I've used everything from a Gillette Safety Razor, Cut Throat & Modern Multi Blade Items. I ve used almost every shave cream, Gel or Soap. Cans of Shave Gel, I've found to be fine, but only if you use a Quality Brush. I started with Tabac Shaving Soap at 13 and about 6 years ago changed to Proraso Shaving Soap and have nevr looked back. I use an Italian Badger Bristle Brush, after a warm facial wash, to lather my face; it raises the bristles for a smooth cut and I've found this soap to be the best I've ever used, along with no more "in-growing" bristles. My face feels great and very clean after a shave with a Wilinson Multi Blade Razor.

  • Great shave soap

Superb lather and nice fragrance. Leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed. Lasts a long time too. A real quality product at a very good price.

  • Great in jar lathering

Smells great and lathers really well but... Does not lather well in a shaving bowl (thumb nail piece). This product is made to effectively lather in its Jar having first added water over it (blooming) and let that rest for a few minutes (duration of a shower). Then having removed the water (great pre-shave splash on beard) use a shave brush on the soap in the jar for a great lather. Eucalyptus and menthol leave the skin feeling fresh. Post shave this jar has to be left open for the soap to dry before closing.

  • Good all round product and worth a try...

Got a George Trumper bowl/shaving soap set a couple of years ago. I replaced that by using some Palmolive sticks in the old George Trumper bowl. I'm now moving on to the Proraso Eucalyptus and Menthol, it smells nice and continues to froth up gratifyingly even on your face .I generally alternate between the traditional shaving brush/bowl method and shaving gel from a can, depending on time.

  • Great shaving soap

It gives a good shaving experience with rustic feeling. Menthol is a bit strong. Then again it is a personal choice. Certainly much better than shaving foam. I don’t know how long it will last but looks like months, so it is good value. Even better if you decide to get triple pack, one of each, red, green and white.

  • Affordable with quality

It seems to be compatible with my shaving hair area. Smells lovely and the price is affordable.

  • very good basic soap

Quick and easy to produce a rich creamy lather (better than Arko). Excellent slickness very economical and the yoghurt pot design with the reusable lid is very practical. Fragrance is a fairly strong citrus acid reminiscent of bathroom cleaner but it is not unpleasant (loose a star here). Over all a good basic soap for the no nonsense shaver.
