  • Great fun read!

This book is a great read especially for boys age 13 and up who love playing video games! I would also highly recommend their fathers to pre-read the book, it will bring back all the names of games we payed in the 80’ (lots of nostalgic UBIs) while setting up a very interesting new world of gaming and virtual living! Great book to discuss between farther and son! Very entertaining!

  • Interesting story concept with nostalgic reference to older video games. Decent read.

If you are into video games, especially older ones this story has many references that will be fun for you. I found the story line compelling even though I am not a video-game fanatic. I would never have chosen to read this book on my own, but it was chosen in my reading club. Even though I am not a fan of video gaming it turned out to be a better story than I expected.

  • Wonderful Book! 3

Accidently Gave negative/positive feedback... My phone screen is cracked. This book is amazing, my fiance and I read it together to prepare for the movie. Gaming is his childhood not mine but was raised knowing a lot of 80's trivia so I thoroughly enjoyed the references. Would recomend to anyone though it explains a lot in the book and makes you think about the future as well as reminisce about the past. The book was reasonably priced and came very fast! To see my fiance excited about a book just as he is excited about his games made my heart smile and brought new understanding to both of our hobbies. Reading and gaming! 3

  • Awesome

Best sci-fi/adventure/80s nostalgia/ gamer novel ever (probably the only). Hooks you right from the start. Great story, couldn't put it down. Went to work with an hour of sleep to finish the book... Worth it.

  • A great novel, deserving all the praise it gets.

This book breaks the boundaries of fiction, it's not the same cookie cutter futuristic novel. For instance, it's in the near future and not everything is perfect. Poverty still exists, and the world is in a constant state of peril (shown by the news)

  • Excitement and Thrills will keep your attention.

This is an awesome read for fans of video games and 1980's Nostalgia. Set in a Futuristic environment where games are played through a Virtual Reality Utopia called the "OASIS"... This Book has an awesome story and I can't wait until they release the Movie as well.

  • One of my favorite books ever!

One of the best books I've ever read. I love Ernest Cline. Anyone who lived through the 80s, or are at all interested in 80s geek/pop culture, and love a good adventure story, should love this book.

  • Great story, fun to read.

It's an easy, fun read; engaging and entertaining. It's less kid-oriented than the movie it inspired. Packed with 80's pop-culture references which is great for a middle-aged geek like me.
