The Neo Geo CDZ console has a display resolution of 320x224 pixels and is capable of displaying 380 sprites on screen at any given moment. By using a 1x CD-ROM drive, this video game system increased a game potential size, opening the door for more advanced games. The two controllers supported by the Neo Geo CDZ console use four letter buttons, a start button, and a select button, with an analogue stick to control directional movement. This Neo Geo CDZ sports a black casing and uses the NTSC standard, which allows it to play most Japanese and American game releases without any additional configuration or accessories though the Neo Geo CDZ does not use region locking to prevent a game from being played on different standard systems.
