Roger Corman's freak-out film was banned in Britain in 1967 from the cinemas and then again in 1988 from video. The Jack Nicholson scripted film stars Peter Fonda as a burned out TV director who's persuaded by Bruce Dern that Lsd will cure his problems. Cue hallucinations, including the obligatory crazed sex, seeing his own funeral and being fascinated by driers in the laundrette before coming down and back to an ambiguous ending tacked on by a nervous American International Pictures.
