These are excellent, well balanced pickups. I fitted them to my 1960 rosewood board tele and its like a completely different instrument.
The front pick up is the best balanced frequency front tele pickup that I have used, no bass dropout and no squeeky treble.....the range of tonal frequency balances over the tone pot and volume pot range is simply unreal.
Likewise, the bridge pickup gives the signature telecaster sound without any glassy treble.
Put the two together and the tone is superb. I am so impressed with the range of tones, and the beautiful range. I would recommend these pickups to anyone who want the most out of their telecaster.
One thing to note, the wiring diagram supplied by Fender in the pack is for a 4-way switch (this is not explained)...therefore run the white wire fromthe neck pu to the switch and crimp both the yellow and black front pu leads to the earth pot. The back pu is a standard two wire job.
Other than that excellent!
Happy picking y'all !!

Texas Specials excellent upgrade for US standard / Squiers.
This is my third Tele partscaster, first 2 had USA standard pickups. Liked the specs for the Texas Specials, wiring very different from standard, but decided to go with it. Glad I did the sound and tone on both are amazing. I used a 3 way switch, Neck p/up is better than any other I've heard blend between both sounds fantastic. Would definitely use Texas Specials again.
(Neck p/ up has a third yellow wire, this is grounded on top of the volume pot)
